A 16-year-old and a 57-year-old both had their handbags taken within 15 minutes.
The 57-year-old woman, who had a substantial amount of cash in her purse, required hospital treatment for injuries to her arm.
Police believe the same robbers may be responsible for both offences.

Fifteen minutes later, the second woman had her handbag wrenched from her by two youths on bikes.
She shouted for help and members of the public came to assist her. Police would like to speak to them, or to any other witnesses.
Sergeant Nick Owen of Redcar Police said: "As a result of these two incidents we have one badly shaken young girl and a second lady who had led street lights to receive treatment at James Cook University Hospital.
"I would like to warn those members of public shopping in the town centre who may be carrying shopping bags and handbags to be very aware of persons around you and to keep a firm hold of your belongings."
Sgt Owen also thanked those who came to the woman's assistance.
