A married mother-of-three who attacked two women on a Union Street dance floor in a row over a handbag has been ordered to complete 150 hours' community service.
And her husband, who pushed the first woman over, causing her to crack a vertebra, has been ordered to pay her pounds1,500 compensation.
Gemma Tebble, aged 25, of Stokingway Close, Plymstock, pleaded guilty yesterday in Plymouth Crown 24in. t5 tube light led Court to causing actual bodily harm to Tanya Weymouth and common assault on Susan Roberts. Her husband Christopher Tebble, aged 24, a Royal Marine currently living at the same address, pleaded guilty to common assault on Ms Weymouth.
The court heard that on August 11 last year, Ms Weymouth was on the dance floor of the Two Trees pub in Union Street when Gemma Tebble began staring at her; Mrs Tebble had lost her handbag and then found it with a group of women.
Mr Tebble pushed Ms Weymouth with an open hand, and she fell, cracking a vertebra.
The prosecution claimed Mrs Tebble then kicked her while she was lying on the ground, cutting her lip.

And when Ms Weymouth's friend Susan Roberts came over to find out the cause of the trouble, Mrs Tebble punched her in the face.
The court heard that Ms Weymouth had been forced to cancel a holiday at short notice, had suffered bad pain, had to walk with a crutch, and lost pounds300 wages through being off work.
In mitigation, Gemma Tebble was said to be "very remorseful", but denied kicking Ms Weymouth, saying she had split her lip in the fall.

Recorder Stephen Parish told the couple: "Both of you should have known better."
Christopher Tebble, who has served in Afghanistan with 42 Commando, was given a conditional discharge for two years.
