A NEW season of conservation volunteer opportunities at Mareham Pastures in Sleaford begins this weekend.
Omega ReplicaThe Mareham Pastures programme starts on Sunday with grassland management from 10am to 3pm, followed by opportunities every second Sunday of the month until March next year.
AH HandbagsActivities to follow include hedge laying in November and December and tree planting in January and February.
All conservation activities are overseen by Matthew Davey, Lincolnshire County Council's environmental and community project officer, who will provide full training, a safety briefing, first aid, insurance cover and tea or coffee and biscuits.
Volunteers - who are
embroidered patches advised to wear suitable outdoor clothes and stout shoes and bring a packed lunch - should meet at the Lavender Close entrance to Mareham Pastures for a 10am start.
