GOSSIP queen Amanda Brunker has told how being a mum has completely changed her life.
The 31-year-old has given up partying to look after her seven- month-old son Edward. She told new magazine Infant: "Since having Edward, I spend most of my spare time doing very unglamorous things - washing, ironing, blending baby food.
"It seems relentless sometimes but I needed a change." Commenting on her relationship with Edward's dad Philip McLoughlin, she added: "We have to plan ahead to make sure we can spend time together.
"Philip travels a lot and I'm always writing so we have to take turns minding the baby. Days turn into weeks.
Stainless Steel Bangle "We don't even have time to sit down and watch a movie together. I'm either feeding him, the baby or the dog."
Former Miss Ireland Amanda admitted that she had trouble shifting the baby weight after Edward was born.
But she said her state of mind was more important than her figure and added: "A huge part of my career is about how I look.
"I don't just see myself as a dolly bird - far from it. But it does help me in my line of work to look aesthetically good. I have to be conscious of that."
Amanda added: "If women are upset over post-birth baby weight, I think they should chill out. The way I see it, it's more important to be mentally happy and sane than slim and miserable.
"You don't have a lot of time to be preparing food and cooking. I don't think women should beat themselves up if they get a takeaway.
"If you are mentally able to go on a diet afterwards, then good."
She has now enrolled in a diet clinic Juicy Couture Earrings to get her pre-Edward figure back.
She said: "I actually gave myself seven months as I wasn't ready before now. I've done two weeks so far and I have already lost a stone which I am thrilled with."
