RCN Corporation (NASDAQ: RCNI) added seven new MTV Networks and BET Networks High Definition (HD) channels to its lineup today. The channels include MTV Networks' COMEDY CENTRAL, CMT, MTV, Nickelodeon, Spike, VH1 and BET Networks' BET. Programming will also be available free on RCN's Video ON DEMAND (VOD) beginning July 1, which will increase the HD content in RCN's VOD library to more than 100 viewing choices.

I enjoyed Erin Stewart's article ("In birthing years, your body isn't really yours," July 11), although I think expectant mothers might get the wrong idea about the University of Utah Hospital. I've worked at the U. Hospital for almost 10 years, and I can assure all of Stewart's readers, female and male alike, that the labor and delivery staff runs Cameroon a very controlled and comfortable environment for delivering mothers and husbands. The nursing staff has never allowed hospital Juicy Couture Charm Necklace central-service technicians like myself or our Starbucks baristas, for that matter, to freely come and go. During the course of my workday, I deal with every department in the hospital, and while compassion tempered with realism is basic to each unit, I know of no other department where privacy and dignity is stressed more than in our hospital's labor and delivery department. With such a broad audience as the Deseret News, flippancy could be costly and just plain wrong.
